Endoscopic CycloPhotocoagulation
(ECP)
is a breakthrough procedure that treats the tissue
(cillary body) that produces fluid inside the eye with laser energy.
Slowing or stopping the production of this fluid reduces the pressure
inside the eye and the threat of vision loss. ECP therapy can reduce or
eliminate the need for eye drop medications. An advantage to ECP is that
it can be performed during cataract surgery or as a stand alone
outpatient procedure.
