...I have newfound freedom.
Before my LASIK surgery, I couldn’t go anywhere without my eyeglasses or contact lenses. Now, I have no vision restrictions and love it. LASIK surgery was my gift to myself for working so hard to earn my master’s degree. Seeing the successful results of my husband’s LASIK surgery at Grossnickle Eye Center encouraged me to have it done.
I feel very fortunate to have received such great results from my LASIK. Grossnickle’s reputation in the community made it a natural choice for me.
As a former surgical nurse, I know firsthand the hassles and dry eyes that contact lens cause in the operating room. Also, eye glasses create an obstacle for wearing a surgical mask. As an administrative nurse now, I can imagine the convenience of LASIK for operating room professionals.
On a more personal note, my kids compete in league swimming at school. I love the clarity, seeing them as they dive off the diving board and being able to easily distinguish them from other children. Also, my family and I are recreational swimmers. It’s great not to have to worry about losing a contact lens in the water or having your glasses to protect poolside.
LASIK surgery has also enhanced my enjoyment of outdoor activities. I’ve noticed while gardening, I don’t have to deal with my glasses sliding down my nose anymore.
I definitely recommend LASIK surgery to others. It is completed so quickly, and the results are so worth it!
